MyKasih is a non-profit organisation that aims to help poor and needy Malaysians through its food distribution, financial counselling and training programmes.
MyKasih pioneered a new way of getting food aid to the poor and needy. Using an electronic payment system developed by ePetrol Holding Sdn Bhd (MSC status company), recipient families are empowered to select and pay for exactly what they need, all with just a swipe of their MyKad. MyKasih enables our beneficiaries to maintain their self-esteem and dignity despite their hardships.
Under this programme, the mother in each recipient family is credited with a monthly allowance. This amount is deposited in her MyKasih account which can be used for purchases of essential food items at designated retail outlets by using her MyKad with a PIN. No cash changes hands at any point, which means the system is seamless, easy-to-use and transparent. One ringgit donated is one ringgit received.
